I AM DOUG SHAPLEY A freelance photographer based in ayrshire, Scotland.
I HAVE BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER FOR MANY YEARS. I FIRST PICKED UP A 35MM FILM CAMERA IN MY EARLY TEENS AND USED IT IS A WAY to document THE WORLD AROUND ME. COMBINED WITH A LOVE OF the outdoors the first subject I turned my FOCUS to WAS WILDLIFE AND LANDSCAPES. I have since worked in wildlife conservation for the UKs leading wildlife charities WHERE I HAVE USED MY IMAGERY TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO SAFEGUARD NATURE. My photography has since developed further to focus on a variety of subjects but I use photography to tell the narrative of the stories I encounter.
I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT USING IMAGERY AND VISUAL CONTENT TO communicate a message whether that be about a place, a product or a person.
I also own and manage Northern Aye Photography my business dedicated to WEDDING AND EVENT photography.
